Santa Dash and Reindeer Run is a merry success!

Last Saturday’s Santa Dash and Reindeer Run (4^th December) organised by Grove Cottage, was a roaring success with £3,167 raised for the local charity.

Around one hundred Santa’s and Reindeers took part in the 1K and 5K routes around the grounds at Grange Paddocks. Children aged 12 and under were given festive antlers to wear along with a medal for finishing the race while over 12’s were provided with a rather fetching Santa Suit.

It was the seventh year that the event has been run and popularity has grown year on year. Fundraising from the event will help Grove Cottage to continue to offer clubs and services for people in the local area who have learning disabilities.

Jeannie Philip, Community Fundraising Manager at Grove Cottage, was thrilled with the turnout saying; “It was heart-warming to see so many people support our Santa Dash again this year and we are really grateful to everyone for their support. We are also thrilled that everyone had so much fun and hope that this event has got everyone feeling Christmassy. We would also like to thank our event sponsor HardSoft Computers for supporting the event and to Grange Paddocks for allowing us to use their grounds.”

Our next fundraising event will be our Christmas Tree Recycling event which is being held in the Link Road Car Park, Bishop’s Stortford on Sunday 2nd January 2022.
