Grove Cottage Reaches Redevelopment Fundraising Goal
Grove Cottage is thrilled to announce that we have officially reached our fundraising target for the redevelopment of our site at 151 London Road.
Our new build fundraising journey began in earnest in 2021, when a local family close to our hearts, Stanley, Margery and Brian Crabb, left a £1.2 million legacy gift that provided the crucial spark to bring our vision of a “Better Building for a Brighter Future” to life.
Since then, and with thanks to the incredible generosity from grant-making organisations, corporate partners, community groups and individuals has helped us reach this incredible milestone. A special thank you goes to everyone who supported our Buy a Brick appeal, which raised £13,990 towards our goal.
This achievement marks the close of our campaign to raise the funds needed to build a modern, accessible facility for people with learning disabilities and special additional needs, and their families, in and around Bishop’s Stortford.
As we move into the final stages of fitting out the building and gradually reintroduce our services, we remain deeply grateful to all our supporters who have been part of this journey.
Grove Cottage Fundraising Manager, Natalie Prosser, said:
“We are thrilled to have reached our fundraising target! Since learning of the Crabb family’s incredible legacy, we have been continually humbled by our community’s generosity. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. As we prepare to fit out our new building and welcome our members into the new, specially-designed space, our fundraising journey continues — so we can keep building a brighter future for local people with learning disabilities and their families.”
Together, we are building a brighter future.
