St James’ Park sponsors ‘Grove Cottage in the Park’
St James’ Park, a popular new village-style residential scheme in Bishop’s Stortford by award-winning developer Countryside, is proud to be this year’s headline sponsor of ‘Grove Cottage in the Park’ – an exciting new food and music festival taking place in Sworders Field in Bishop’s Stortford from 12pm until 10.30pm on Saturday 3rd September 2022.
Organised by the charity Grove Cottage, the home of Mencap in Bishop’s Stortford, which provides social and educational activities for people of all ages with learning disabilities, the first ever ‘Grove Cottage in the Park’ event is an extension of their popular annual food festival, Festival of Flavour.
Offering something for everyone, ‘Grove Cottage in the Park’ will offer a range of family-friendly activities and entertainment. The Food Fest will take place during the day from 12pm to 5pm offering a wide variety of food and drink stalls to explore including Ques Idea Mexican Kitchen, Smok’n Greek, Amerio’s Bar, Real Lemonade and Waffle & Floss There will also be a selection of live music from local bands, as well as a Kids’ Zone to entertain younger members of the family.
Continuing into an evening of entertainment, ‘Grove will Rock You!’ will take place between 6pm and 10.30pm. As well as live performances from a variety of local music acts, Queen II the UK’s premier Queen tribute band, will headline the event, performing hits from every decade of Queen’s musical legacy. Bringing laughter to the evening, stand-up comedy legend and actor, Paddy Lennox, will be taking centre stage with his mischievous sense of humour.

Grove Cottage is looking for local bands and acts to perform throughout the day and also is appealing to those in the community who could volunteer for a few hours to help marshal the event. If you can help, please email events@mencapgrovecottage.org
Tickets for the daytime Food Fest are £5 for adults and FREE entry for children.
Tickets for Grove will Rock You! are £25 per person, which also includes FREE entry to the daytime Food Fest.
