Grove Cottage takes part in the Great Big Walk for Herts
Grove Cottage are taking part in the Great Big Walk for Herts on Saturday 30 September 2023 to help raise vital funds to support Grove Cottage to provide services for local people with learning disabilities and specialised additional needs.
Please come and join us and enjoy a walk around the beautiful Herts countryside. We’ll be meeting around 10am in Bishop’s Stortford, and finishing at the Beehive pub in Hare Street. With help from supporters, Grove Cottage is hoping to raise £1000.
The Great Big Walk for Herts is being organised by Helping Herts, the official charity of the Stort Valley Rotary Club. Helping Herts is bringing together 12 children’s charities, each walking a different leg of the Hertfordshire Way on the same day, totalling a whopping 180 miles, in a bid to raise money to help the charities carry out their vital work to support children and their families in Hertfordshire.
Mina Pandya, Community Fundraising Manager said “Join us on the walk on September 30th and help to raise money so we can continue to support people of all ages to develop lifelong friendships and fulfil their potential. The walk is roughly 10.5 miles long and will be led by a Hertfordshire Way expert.”
