Get Active Club

Our Get Active club meets at Northgate Primary School on Tuesday evenings from 6pm – 8pm, during term time. This sports and fitness club is open to people of all abilities with learning disabilities who are over 16 years of age.

Get Active offers fun learning experiences each week such as relay races, rounders and football skills and provides delicious healthy snacks after each session. Occasionally the group visits external sports facilities such as the local Golf Club or Swimming Pool.

It’s a great way to get exercise and meet regularly with friends.

Our Get Active Club is £12 per session and sessions are invoiced termly. Existing members with a query about this club should contact freya@mencapgrovecottage.org. New members wishing to join this club should email om@mencapgrovecottage.org or call 01279 656085.

Grove Cottage keeps me active and gives me something to get up for. I have made friendships I wouldn’t have done otherwise. I have a very good time at Get Active, it makes me feel good. Coming to Grove Cottage is fun!
